Located on the Mandalay Canal in Irving, Texas' prestigious Las Colinas Urban Center, the Omni Mandalay Hotel is a four-diamond destination that offers the Dallas area's largest guest room accommodations, contemporary amenities, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, a full-service day spa and salon and a world-class art collection. It is just 10-15 minutes from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport or Love Field. The Omni is offering a room rate of $109 for a Deluxe Double or Deluxe King room, or you may upgrade to the Mandalay Suite for a rate of $149. Room rates are subject to appropriate state and local taxes, fees, and assessments which are currently 15%.

The cut-off date for reservations at this rate is September 3rd. Please be sure to tell the hotel if you need a handicap accessible room. Share with them the name of any bunkmates as well (the double rate is the same as the single rate).

FLIGHTS:

Flying into the Dallas-Fort Worth area you have two primary options. Dallas-Fort Worth airport (DFW) is the largest airport and services multiple airlines. DFW also serves as the hub for American Airlines. Love Field (LUV) is the other airport and primarily serves Southwest Airlines and a few select American Airlines flights. There are restrictions on direct flights out of LUV limiting the airlines to Texas and bordering states, thus you will most likely have more connections flying out of LUV. The Hotel is conveniently located between the two and our shuttle service is available 24 hours/7days a week to either airport but you need a reservation for LUV.

American Airlines has extended a 5% discount off its lowest fares to the WASP coming to Dallas for the reunion. WASP and all other attendees can call 1-800-433-1790 ($15.00 fee) 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and give the promotional code A9498AG or go too www.aa.com (no fee) and enter the same code in the box marked promotion code.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE:

To the extent possible, we have drivers who may be able to pick you up at the airport. Please call 1-800-844-4253 to be connected to Chig Lewis who should have current information.

Transportation to and from the airport (either DFW or Love) is available at a discount rate with Super Shuttle (the blue vans) for only $14 each way (not including driver gratuity). You may reserve your ride and prepay by calling 1-800-622-2089, extension 2 and ask for Chris or Chuck, or tell them you are with the WASP Group. You may also go to www.supershuttle.com and provide the Group Code 9F5WY for the discounted rate. You do not need a reservation if you are flying into DFW. Upon arrival at DFW claim your luggage, proceed directly outside to orange signs marked “Super Shuttle,” let them know you are with the WASP, and they will take you to the Omni.

You MUST make a reservation prior to arrival if you are flying into Love Field. Upon arrival claim your luggage and then locate “Super Shuttle” on the information board there in baggage claim. Dial directly and let them know you are with the WASP. Follow signs marked “ground transportation” to the Super Shuttle boarding area.
